The reason to come. A free, flat, paved mile along the river that takes a stroller or a balance bike the whole way, with a playground on the route and painted Augusta yacht sculptures to hunt for. It ends in walkable downtown for a snack, and there's off-street parking at the library trailhead.
2. Abbott's Mill Nature Center

A Delaware Nature Society site around a millpond and a water-powered gristmill — easy woodland and pond trails with frogs, turtles, and birds. Free to walk sunrise to sunset, but it's a quiet nature center, not a playground. The visitor center is open Wednesday through Friday only, and gristmill tours have been paused, so don't build the trip around one. In summer, second-Thursday 'Music at the Mill' concerts add food trucks by the water.
3. Milford Public Library

Unusual flexibility for a small library: Weekly Story Time runs both morning and afternoon, with Toddler Time as a third option. Older kids get Lego Club, a weekly Gaming Hour, and IMAZINE Evening; teens have a center with its own posted hours. The realistic day is the Mispillion Riverwalk (about one to two hours, with the playground and the painted-yacht hunt), lunch downtown at the end of the path, and then either Abbott's Mill Nature Center for an easy hour of pond and woodland trails or the library if the weather turns.
