What to Expect
Kirkwood splits its story times by age instead of running one catch-all session: Book Babies for newborns to 17 months, Toddler Tales for 18 to 35 months, and Rhythm, Rhyme and Story Time for ages 3 to 6. All three run most weeks, alongside Phonics Fun, Pajama Storytime and READ to a Dog.
Older kids get a real slate too — Code & Create Club, a Robotics Workshop, Exploring Science for Kids, a 3D Print & Design Club, plus Saturday Fun Day and Family Game and Puzzle Day. STEM kits, early literacy iPad kits and preschool learning kits check out to take home.
It's stroller-friendly with a changing table. Parking isn't confirmed in our notes, so check before you go. The catch is the calendar: on summer hours the library is closed Fridays and Sundays.
Who It's Best For
The age-split story times mean a 9-month-old and a 5-year-old each get a session pitched at them. School-age kids have the coding, robotics and science clubs, and there are STEM kits, early literacy iPad kits and preschool learning kits to borrow.
