Post-game fireworks on Friday home games. Best fireworks deal in NCC for the price. Runs around 9:30 PM — late for toddlers, perfect for elementary kids and up.

Afternoon start and a later gate — gates open one hour before Sunday games instead of the usual 45 minutes, so there's time to walk the concourse before first pitch. The easiest game format with young kids. Kid-specific extras vary by date; the promotional schedule is the place to check.

Dollar hot dogs at the concession stands on Tuesday home games. Combined with cheap tickets and free parking, the cheapest family night out in NCC by a wide margin.

Cheaper general-admission seating beyond the infield. Kids who can't sit still have room to wander, and you still see the game. Bring a blanket for the lawn.

What's the bag policy at Frawley Stadium, and can I bring a diaper bag?

Yes to the diaper bag. The Blue Rocks post the MLB-mandated policy in their A-Z guide: "Any bag smaller than 16" x 16" x 8"", a "Fanny pack or clutch purse no larger than 5" x 7"", and "Medically necessary items, including diaper bags." It's "One approved bag allowed per person" and "All approved bags will be checked before entry." The not-allowed list is "Backpacks, Binocular Case, Camera Case, Oversized Tote Bags, Mesh Bags, Purse, Outside Food & Beverage, Weapons of Any Kind." The one gap: backpacks are prohibited and diaper bags are permitted, and the team doesn't say which rule wins for a backpack-style diaper bag. If that's what you carry, call (302) 888-2015 first rather than find out at the gate.

Can we bring our own snacks and drinks?

No. Per the team's food and beverage policy, "Aside from one sealed individual water bottle per fan, outside food or beverage of any kind is not permitted to be brought into Frawley Stadium," and "Outside Food & Beverage" is listed among the items turned away at bag check. Everyone can bring one sealed water bottle. Concessions inside are all cashless. If an allergy or dietary restriction makes that hard, the A-Z guide asks you to email the team in advance.

Where do we park, and what does it cost?

"Most parking at Frawley Stadium is FREE" — the lots in front of the stadium and beyond the outfield wall are free self-park lots. The exception is the VIP area just outside the main home plate gates, which requires a Blue Rocks parking permit or a handicap permit; call (302) 888-BLUE about permits. Handicapped parking is in the first row across from the ChristianaCare box office. Follow attendant directions. The lots belong to the Delaware Stadium Corporation and you park at your own risk — the team notes it isn't liable for damage, including from baseballs hit out of play. Special events at the stadium (fireworks) or on the Riverfront (Chase Center events) can affect game-day parking. GPS tip from the team: some devices don't recognize 801 Shipyard Drive, so enter the old address, 801 South Madison Street.

What happens if it rains?

The call is usually made close to the scheduled start time; the team says games are very rarely postponed in the morning or early afternoon, and unless the weather is severe they plan to play. Check the Blue Rocks' Facebook page, their X account, or BlueRocks.com — if none of them announce a delay, assume the game is on. A game becomes official after five innings, or 4½ if the Blue Rocks are leading. If it's called before that point, keep your tickets: they can be exchanged for any Blue Rocks home game in the current season, at the Frawley Stadium box office, for a ticket of equal or lesser value and subject to availability. A rain delay by itself is not exchangeable, and once a game is official there are no exchanges.

Can kids get autographs?

Before or after the game only. The A-Z guide says "Fans are permitted to request autographs from players and coaches before or after games. Players and coaches are not permitted to sign autographs at any time during a game." Gates open 45 minutes before Tuesday–Saturday games and an hour before Sunday games, so the pre-game window is the realistic one with kids.

Do kids get to run the bases after the game?

Not posted. Run-the-bases doesn't appear on the team's A-Z guide, directions page, or rain policy page, so we can't confirm which dates offer it — check the promotional schedule or ask the box office before you build the trip around it. What is posted: fans can't go on the field or on the dugout tops unless they're in an escorted in-game promotion, and you sign up for between-inning contests at the customer service kiosk across from the main gates.

What should I know about going with a baby or toddler?

Changing stations are in the 3B men's and women's restrooms and in the Chickie's & Pete's men's and women's restrooms. The elevator is open to guests visiting with strollers, along with fans with physical limitations and Luxury Level ticket holders, and every gate is reachable by the ramp beside the ticket office. Section K is the designated no-alcohol family section. First Aid is near the 3B restrooms, staffed by a team in red polo shirts. If you get separated, lost children report to the customer service center across from the team store and parents are paged over the PA. The team also publishes an Autism Delaware social story if a sensory preview would help.

Best Time to Visit

Tuesday and Sunday home games for the cheapest tickets and the most family-friendly promos. Friday nights for fireworks. Day games (typically Sundays) are easier with toddlers — no late bedtime to manage. Gates open 45 minutes before Tue–Sat games, 1 hour before Sunday games.

Seasonal Notes

Baseball season runs spring through early fall (typically April through September). No baseball November through March. The stadium occasionally hosts other events in the off-season — check the venue calendar. Summer afternoons can be hot in unshaded seats; the grandstand is covered, the bleachers are not.
