Great Human Race & International Food Festival
Sun 8:30 AM · ages 12 and under · Admission required · YMCA of Delaware - Brandywine · indoor
Cash only, so bring bills — check the site for the cost. The Great Human Race and the international food festival run at YMCA of Delaware - Brandywine from 8:30 to 2:00, indoors, which is the safer bet for Sunday.
Why this made the cut
It won on flexibility. The window runs from breakfast through early afternoon, so you can slot it around a late start or a morning game instead of building the whole day around one hour.

Family 2nd Sunday
Sun 10:00 AM · All ages · Admission required · Delaware Art Museum · indoor
Included with Museum admission — check the site for the amount. Hands-on art making and interactive story times run 10:00 to 4:00 indoors, so a kid who won't sit through a story still has something to do with their hands.

Field Notes — Rockwood Park — free grounds, skip the mansion tour
The trails and the big lawn are the draw; you don't need to pay for the house tour with toddlers. Good stroller loop, shade, and enough room to run off a morning. Parking's easy on the Washington Street Extension side.
