Science Saturday - Tumbling Towers

Two drop-in stations run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on one ticket. Kids build a freestanding trophy that has to balance a ball on top, then rebuild it when it topples. Outside, an old-fashioned ice cream maker and a turn at the crank. Admission is $22 adults, $12 ages 6-14; members are covered. No registration.
Why this made the cut
The other three picks are one craft table each. This is a half day: a build with a fail state — the tower falls, they rebuild — plus ice cream outside, both included in the same admission. And unlike Saturday's bug program, you don't have to be a member to walk in.
