Free, no registration, Saturdays only — a run that ends before the grand opening. It's building access, not a program: the maker lab (3D printer, Cricut, foam press) is the draw. The outdoor play area with a rock wall and slide is part of the building — but unconfirmed as open, so don't promise it.
Why this made the cut
The public Saturdays run out before the grand opening, and after that it's a working library rather than a first look. Walk-in time on a 3D printer is hard to find for this age.

Live Music in the Beer Garden

Friday evening rather than the weekend proper: live music in the Beer Garden at Longwood Gardens, included with Gardens admission. You'll need a timed entry ticket — members too, after 3:00pm Friday through Sunday — and performances are weather permitting.
