This two-part program explores the history of Delaware's forests through a lecture and a field trip. Participants will learn about trees that once thrived in the region and current conservation efforts to restore them. The field trip includes a visit to a local nursery focused on conserving American Chestnuts, Red Mulberry, and Butternut trees, followed by a walk through the Middle Run Natural area.
