First State Ballet Theatre runs three summer tracks: the Summer Intensive (ages 9–21, audition required for the Wilmington location) with ballet, pointe, variations, contemporary, and character; the Children's Workshops (ages 4–8) blending ballet with arts and crafts and a final-day performance; and a Summer Session (ages 2–18) at the Whitehall (Middletown) studio. Wilmington studio: 818 N. Market St. Whitehall: 727 Mapleton Ave, Middletown.

Good for: Ages 9-21 dancers ready for serious training. Wilmington intensive (4 weeks at The Grand) is audition-required — January or March in-person or video submission. Middletown (Whitehall) 2-week intensive has no audition. Daily 10:30-4:30, includes ballet, pointe, variations, contemporary, character. Each session ends with a real performance.
